- Arbitrage Betting
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different books to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that eliminates the draw option and uses half‑goal or quarter‑goal lines to reduce ties.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting, separate from everyday finances, to track wins and losses.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, either locking in a profit or minimizing a loss.
- Closing Line
- The final odds or spread available just before an event starts; getting a favorable closing line indicates good timing.
- Edge
- An advantage you believe you have over the bookmaker’s odds, based on analysis or information that suggests a mispriced line.
- Futures Bet
- A long‑term bet placed on an outcome that will be decided later, like which team wins the tournament.
- Hedging
- Betting on the opposite outcome of an earlier bet to protect against a large loss or secure a guaranteed profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing or changing a bet after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula used to calculate the optimal size of a bet based on your edge and the odds offered.
- Line Movement

- Moneyline
